Introducing Dr. Jeremy Orr and Saturday Hours at VRCC

June, 2013

RMVC welcomes Dr. Jeremy Orr to our practice at VRCC in Denver. He is a board certified veterinary cardiologist and comes to us from a busy, multi-specialty practice in Chicago.

With the addition of Dr. Orr, RMVC now offer Saturday appointments at our VRCC location in Denver.  We are Colorado’s only veterinary cardiology practice to offer Saturday appointments on a non-emergency basis.

Dr. Orr sees patients between 9am and 4pm every Saturday, and is available for scheduled appointments, emergencies, and consultations with referring veterinarians. In addition, he sees patients three days during the week.

RMVC acquires cardiology practice at VRCC

August, 2011

In August, Rocky Mountain Veterinary Cardiology (RMVC) expanded its services to the Veterinary Referral Center of Colorado (VRCC)in Denver.

Operated by Dr. Carroll Loyer over the last 15 years as Veterinary Heart and Lung Specialists out of VRCC, RMVC acquired this practice and has maintained the cardiology team and operation at VRCC.

With this acquisition, RMVC now offers specialized services at two locations – Alpenglow Veterinary Specialty + Emergency Center (AVSEC) in Boulder and at VRCC in Denver — to meet the needs of Colorado veterinary cardiac patients and their guardians.

“RMVC prides itself on providing exceptional, personalized care to pets with heart disease,” says Dr. Karen Sanderson, RMVC practice owner and head of cardiology. “Whether the examination is simply for an auscultation or involving extensive diagnostics and hospitalization, our goal is to provide the best medical care for the patient as well to support and educate our clients. We feel that the partnership among the family veterinarian, ourselves, and your clients is absolutely necessary in the long-term management of patients with cardiac disease.”

Dr. Sanderson says that between both RMVC’s facilities, all doctors and staff will communicate and function as a cohesive team to ensure consistent, coordinated care for all of RMVC’s patients.

  • Prompt scheduling for cardiac appointments at both VRCC and AVSEC
  • A referral letter within 24 hours of the patient appointment
  • A phone call regarding our findings for all new referrals
